Do you remember how you moved and played as a child ? the lightness, the fluidity, the softness (no aches and pains). Children have a huge capacity for curiosity play and discovery?
As we grow into adult hood it is all to easy to loose these qualities as soon as we take on the social programming at school of sitting still,”concentrate you must study hard, stop daydreaming” etc etc.
Then when we leave school and go to work and we stop climbing trees, swinging, skipping, jumping, exploring, rolling upside down, we become so busy there is never enough time just to be who we are and we forget.
As adults it is all to easy loose those childlike qualites swapping them for the pressures of adult life. We become stressed, anxious or fearful something in us becomes contracted, shrunk, tense we take on physical and emotional aches and pains. For many of us this becomes an all to familiar feeling and we live in this state to such a degree that it becomes our default setting. Over time we develop tight hips, bad backs, aged faces, negative thinking..…(an all to easy state to slip into.)
But it does not have to be this way
So what has this got to do with Kashmir Yoga?
The aim of Kashmir approach to yoga is to reawaken your natural state of lightness and fluidity and inner confidence that comes from being what you truly are. (who couldn't do with a bit of that)
Take a moment and think about a time when you were really happy, something in you expanded, you felt more open. That feeling of openness that is associated with happiness, feeling good and positive feelings. (Wouldn't you like to feel more like that)
The process of Kahmir yoga is an exploration of the body combined with breathing and relaxation techniques along with meditations. This process reawakens your natural playfulness helping to balance your nervous system, breathing and core power systems.
By taking the body through many different planes of movement with Kashmir Yoga, we gentle squeeze, rinse every organ, gland, muscle and bone helping the body to realign giving you greater focus and mind power.
The process of Kashmir Yoga recognises that you are unique. Kashmir yoga understand your uniqueness and can help you explore, your own strengths and breathing rhythms. The teacher is there to support you in exploring your potential, helping you to understand how you move and to bring more out of you. Improving your physical and emotional wellbeing and hopefully a bit of that inner child.
